Field Cushion

In collaboration with: Petra Bogias, Vikkie Chen, Elizabeth Van Overbeeke, and Andrea Soto
Date: 2012

Part of the Common Ground exhibition held by the Cambridge Galleries, “Field Cushion” offers an unconventional way for the public to enjoy the site. Offering something playful, unexpected and witty to the site’s existing conditions, the project explores the opportunities of a man-made landscape and the introduction of a foreign object in a field. It takes the qualities found in the surrounding trees and tall grasses, but then also begins to defy some of those characteristics by placing the new man-made landscape into unexpected orientations.
