HAVEN

Nestled on the edge of Mud Lake in Ottawa, Ontario, HAVEN offers spaces for rest, shelter, and observation. The warming hut utilizes the versatility of wood as a medium for demonstrating how the synthesis of materiality, atmosphere, and time is capable of igniting the contemplative energy required of reading the space around us.

BOX FOR TEA

This is a tea space of my own, one that is transportable and that could transform any space into a space to enjoy a special moment, either in solitude or with company – a sort of emergency kit for slowing down and being mindful of the present.

THE BRINK HOUSE

The Brink House embraces the unique dialogue and openness that is shared between the park’s micro-communities. A layered composition of Brink (moments of spectatorship) and Rink (communal areas of play) creates opportunities for collective experience. The built forms frame views into the landscape and beyond, allowing for visual transparency to exist across adjacent sites.
